My first textured Canvas artwork...
I was wondering how to achieve texture on this kmart Canvas. I had no joint compound at home. So I decided to use a method. I covered the sides of the Canvas and applied first coat of chalk paint. In a bowl I dumped some paper, paper towel, and fabric pieces into my paint.
By using my hands i started rubbing the texture on the canvas & squeezed some glue to stick the papers on the canvas.
Second coat of paint I used bi carbonate for more texture.
I waited 24 hours for the piece to dry.
I used acrylic paint to paint the piece by creating ombre look, blending lots of colours together. I used, black, brown, red, yellow, orange, beige and white.
